Manual Therapy

Our integrated approach is a great way to approach chronic pain or movement issues. We start with an assessment of 3 major areas: Core, Breathing, and Gait. From there, then the local area is addressed. We take a global approach to deal with local problems which can lead to long term results.

Accustim Adjuster

Accustim Adjuster is an adjustment tool that Assists Chiropractors in adjusting the patient and manipulating segments of the spine. The Accustim sends 12-14 thrusts per second which helps to stimulate the spine and provide a better range of motion. We prefer using the Accustim Adjuster tool as it helps patients that find a traditional adjustment applying too much force or for those who require a gentler approach.

Diversified Technique

First, an analysis of your spine is performed. This can initially involve a case history and a physical examination. Treatments will consist of motion palpation with the chiropractor feeling the spinal joints move as you turn and bend. They will also check for imbalances in the neck and/or lower spine. Once the issue has been identified, a specific manual thrust is administered by our Chiropractor. The direction, speed, depth, and angle that are
used are the result of years of experience, practice, and a thorough understanding of spinal mechanics. The energy delivered during the thrust may produce a slight “popping” sound from the shifting of gas and fluids in the joint.

VibracCussor therapy delivers waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body. These percussion waves promote an increase in circulation and lymphatic flow, and a decrease in muscle spasm thus decreasing pain. Many athletes utilize this therapy post-event because the percussions flush the muscles, therefore, reducing the soreness felt afterward.

The VibracCussor produces a piston-like up and down motion. This motion creates comfortable compression waves that travel through to the body’s deepest connective tissues to free up entanglements without the need for heavy forces.

This instrument is used along with our other chiropractic services to relax tense muscles, relieve lymphatic congestion, restore joint motion and reduce post-exertion muscle soreness. Listed below are just a few of the conditions that VibracCussor therapy can treat and help improve:

  • Joint Fixations
  • Postural Distortion
  • Myofascial Restrictions
  • Trigger Points
  • Frozen shoulder
  • TMJ related issues
  • Scar tissue
